Ten Thousand: Luxury Apartments in Century City, Rent Prices & Amenities

Last updated: October 29, 2026. By the Apartments Club Editorial Team.

At a glance: 10000 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90067 · Century City · asking rents from $13,600 to $27,000 a month as of October 2026.

Some apartment buildings compete on price. Ten Thousand competes on almost everything else. The 40-story glass tower at 10000 Santa Monica Boulevard sits on the seam between Century City and Beverly Hills, and since its 2017 completion it has been the reference point for what a “hotel-style” rental looks like in Los Angeles. Developer and operator Crescent Heights built 283 residences here, designed by Handel Architects, and paired them with roughly 75,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space, according to the developer.

That combination puts the tower at the very top of the Los Angeles rental market. Among the roughly 90 LA County rental communities we found advertising units above $6,000 a month in October 2026, Ten Thousand had both the highest entry price and the highest advertised monthly rent of any purpose-built rental building we tracked. If you have ever wondered what a $20,000-plus apartment in Los Angeles actually offers, this is the building to study.

Location and neighborhood

The address is a big part of the appeal. The tower stands at Santa Monica Boulevard and Moreno Drive, a short drive from Rodeo Drive and the Beverly Hills business triangle on one side and the office towers of Century City on the other. Westfield Century City, one of the city’s busiest shopping and dining centers, is a walk away, and the Los Angeles Country Club’s open fairways sit just to the west, which helps explain why the views from upper floors stretch uninterrupted toward the ocean.

Commuters working in Century City’s law firms, talent agencies and finance offices can realistically walk to work. The Metro D Line subway extension is being built toward Century City, which should make trips to Koreatown and downtown easier when that segment opens. The building also markets a furnished program. Its own residences page advertised furnished two- to three-bedroom homes “starting at $16,200/month” when we checked. Pricing for one-, three- and four-bedroom layouts was not listed in the availability we could verify, so we have marked those as unknown rather than guess.

Amenities

This is where Ten Thousand separates itself from other luxury towers. Beyond the expected fitness center and pool, the listing and developer materials describe:

  • A complimentary daily continental breakfast for residents
  • Indoor and outdoor pool areas, a spa, sauna and cold plunge
  • A large fitness program with free weights and group exercise rooms
  • A tennis court and basketball court
  • A media room, business center and guest suite
  • Concierge service and a large on-site house staff (the developer cites about 80 people)
  • Housekeeping services, package receiving and gated, secured parking
  • Pet-friendly policies for dogs and cats

Inside the homes, expect floor-to-ceiling glass, generous balconies and smart-home features. Some services may carry extra fees, so ask the leasing team which items are included in the rent.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Probably the most complete amenity and service package of any LA rental tower
  • Panoramic views from the ocean to downtown from upper floors
  • Walkable to Century City offices and Westfield Century City; minutes from Beverly Hills
  • Large floor plans; most homes are two bedrooms or more

Cons

  • The highest asking rents we found in the LA rental market
  • Little choice for single renters wanting a smaller unit
  • Santa Monica Boulevard traffic at rush hour
  • Premium services can add costs on top of base rent

How it compares with other LA luxury rentals

We reviewed advertised rents at 25 of the priciest rental communities in Los Angeles County on October 28, 2026. Ranked by the highest monthly asking rent, Ten Thousand came in at number 1. For context, here is what several other high-end buildings were asking on the same day (same source):

Keep in mind that the top of each range is usually driven by one or two penthouse or oversized units, so the starting rent and the mix of unit sizes often say more about a building than its single most expensive listing. Linked names go to our full profile of that building.

Touring tips

  • Ask which specific units are available and on which floors; view and floor height can move the rent by thousands of dollars in the same floor plan.
  • Request the full monthly cost in writing, including parking, pet rent, storage, utilities and any amenity or service fees.
  • Ask whether advertised specials are applied as free weeks up front or spread across the lease, and how that affects renewal pricing.
  • Visit at rush hour and in the evening to judge traffic, noise and how easy it is to get in and out of the garage.
  • Read the lease terms for minimum length, early termination and renewal caps before you put down a deposit.

Who it suits

Ten Thousand suits executives, entertainment-industry professionals, relocating families and anyone who would otherwise consider a full-service condo but prefers the flexibility of leasing. It is less suited to renters on a budget, students, or people who want a lively street scene outside their door; the immediate surroundings are polished and fairly quiet after office hours.

Can you afford it?

A common rule of thumb is to keep rent near 30% of gross income, which means a $13,600 apartment calls for roughly $544,000 a year in household income, and the top-end unit far more. Many luxury buildings also ask for income of two and a half to three times the rent.
